My Journey

Hi, I’m Jemar Gabrielle Rocas—an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) based in Mandurah, WA. I moved here from the Philippines in 2014, and since then, I’ve embraced the Aussie lifestyle and am proud to now call Australia home.

I completed my Bachelor of Exercise Science at Curtin University in 2020 and went on to finish my Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at UWA in 2022.

Professional Experience

I’ve worn many hats—barista, children’s soccer coach, community support worker, and hospital cardiac physiologist. These experiences have helped me develop not only clinical skills but also empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a strong passion for helping people feel seen, heard, and supported.

  • 4+ years as a community support worker for NDIS and DVA clients

  • Cardiac Physiologist at Royal Perth Hospital

  • Involved in cardiac, paediatric health and mental health research as a student EP during my Master’s degree

  • Exercise Physiologist in Mandurah residential and community aged care.

My Special Interests

  • Chronic Pain – CBT/ACT-informed movement therapy

  • Cardiac Exercise Rehabilitation

  • Diabetes Lifestyle Management

  • Older Adults with complex health conditions

My Approach

  • Evidence-Based Practice: I follow national and international guidelines to ensure safe and effective care.

  • Person-Centred Care: Your health goals and lived experiences guide how we work together.

  • Education & Empowerment: I help you understand your condition and how to manage it confidently.

  • Sustainability: Small, meaningful changes build long-term habits that last.

Let’s turn rehabilitation into a habit you can keep for life.
